Giv' Er goes mountain biking at Fernie Alpine Resort

Even though Becky and I haven't been on our bikes much lately and I am generally scared $#@%less on the hill, she convinced me to go out for community appreciation day where it is free for locals to ride the lifts and they have a twoonie BBQ up at Lost Boys Cafe.

We threw the bikes in the back of the Giv' Er truck and headed to the hill to meet up with Amanda and Rusan.

Right away we ran into tonnes of fellow Fernie riders who were stoked to ride the hill in the sunshine. The Elk chair lift line was long...but we passed the time chatting with friends and trying to decide what the easiest way down was going to be!

After "rippin'" down a couple of the old side trails, we headed up the Timber chair. Becky and I put our bikes away, but Amanda brought hers up to tear down the rocky new side.

Had some yummy burgers at the top and an awesome ride down with Helen and Ella
